IP Lookup
Look up an IP address.
Find the network and approximate location associated with a public IPv4 or IPv6 address. Enter an address, without a website name or port number. We check local database files; we do not connect to the address you enter.
Look up any IP address
Private, shared and reserved addresses do not have a public geolocation. An address cannot tell us who a person is.
Approximate IP location
IP location is approximate, not your exact address.
A little context. Not an exact address.
Enable external maps to load OpenStreetMap tiles. The map provider will receive your IP address.
Map tiles could not load. The location estimate is still available as text.

- Your device
Location describes the selected IP and may represent an ISP or VPN exit point.
Optional, one-time browser location (GPS or Wi-Fi). Requires your permission. We do not send coordinates to our server or add them to analytics events. The map provider receives the areas you view; Clarity may also receive map resources if Analytics is enabled.
What the lookup results mean
- Network and ASN: the organization associated with the address's autonomous system. It may be a hosting provider, network operator or VPN network rather than the company on your internet bill.
- Country, region and city: a database estimate for the address. These fields do not locate a person or street address.
- Accuracy radius: the size of the estimated area when the database supplies it. A map marker is the centre of that estimate, not a verified building.
Why an address may have no location
An address such as 192.168.1.25 is reused inside private networks. Shared provider space, loopback and other special ranges also cannot be treated as ordinary public locations. Use the IP range checker to understand the address type.
A public address can also have missing or incomplete database records. An unavailable result does not show that the address is unused, offline or suspicious. This tool performs no port scan or reachability test.
Wrong city or country?
Check that you entered the address you intended to inspect. Your browser may use a different public address when a VPN, relay or another network is active.
